Linda Susan Liebert, 67, of Richmond died on August 4, 2021, unexpectedly at Reid Health after a short bout with a sudden illness. She was born February 4, 1954 in Richmond to Stanley M. and Helen Liebert, both deceased. Though she spent time living in California, Georgia, Michigan and Ohio, she always considered Richmond home and returned there at the end of her life. She held many jobs during her time in Richmond, including working the switchboard at the Richmond State Hospital and running the service department at several local car dealerships.

Susan also held a BS in Behavioral and Social Sciences which she earned at Indiana University East in 2005, one of her proudest accomplishments. She loved animals and would rescue any she could. She is survived by her son, Phillip M. Alexander, 44, and his wife, Julie R., 41 of Richmond as well as her two brothers Michael and John Liebert and her beloved emotional support dogs, Wagnar, BooBoo and Cody. She is preceded in death by her parents, her older sister Janet Clark, and her niece, Stephanie Pollitt.

At Susan’s request, there will be no showing or memorial, but in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to the ASPCA at aspca.org. Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Condolences can be sent to Phill and Julie via the guest book at stegallberheideorr.com
