Harrison Floyd Sartain, age 88, of Richmond, Indiana, died peacefully Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at home surrounded by his family.
Harrison was born on November 14, 1932, in Wolf Bayou, Arkansas, to Paul and Cora Mae Staggs Sartain. He lived in Wayne County, Indiana, most of his life. Harrison was employed at Johns Manville for 36 years before retiring. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Harrison loved doing carpentry work, building fences, and planting trees. He also enjoyed being outdoors. Harrison was a devoted husband, dad, and follower of Christ. He had many great qualities, but the one that stood out the most was his integrity.
Survivors include his daughter, Brenda Capps of Richmond; sons, Daryl (Nancy) Sartain of Richmond, Michael (Kathy) Sartain of Hagerstown, Indiana, and Paul (Nichole) Sartain of Loveland, Ohio; grandchildren, Shane, Bruce, Trent, Vincent, Mike Jr., Dominick, Logan, Chase, and Emma; great-grandchildren, Lucas, Aubrey, Gavin, Ari, Layne, Carter, and Levi; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Mavis Lovena Dill Sartain, who died November 1, 2011; parents; sisters, Elsie Adams, Anna Lacy, and Jewell Philmalee; and brothers, Tommy, Neil, George, and Clifton Sartain.

Visitation for Harrison Floyd Sartain will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 2, 2021, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Curt Nies officiating. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.
