Geneva Warner, age 94, of Richmond, Indiana, died Sunday, August 5, 2018, at Forest Park Health Campus.
Born September 4, 1923, in Jessamine County, Kentucky, to John William Sr. and Ella Williams Canter, Geneva lived in Richmond most of her life. She attended First United Methodist Church in Richmond. Geneva was a very gentle and soft-spoken lady, who loved her family dearly.
Survivors include her daughter, Connie (Matt) Strittmatter of Richmond; son, Gary Warner of Orlando, Florida; grandson, Chris Strittmatter of Jackson Hole, Wyoming; many nieces and nephews, including, Alice (Todd) Anderson, Linda (Rex) Ward, Carol (Malcolm) Greene, Scott (Barbara) Bell, and Dale Canter; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, George E. Warner, who died July 29, 2015; parents; and siblings, Ruby Bell, Pearl Jane Hager, Pauline Moore, Christine Devaney, Emma Ruth Moore, Carrie Mae Canter, Virginia Waters, Fred Canter, John William Canter Jr., Hugh Scott Canter Sr., and Woodrow Wilson Canter.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 4, at Crown Hill Cemetery with Rev. Malone B. Greene officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
