William R. Williams, 80, of Cambridge City, passed away at home on Monday, June 28, 2021. He was born on May 3, 1941 in Flemingsburg, Kentucky to William and Leona Williams. Bill served his country in the Uinted States Army and shortly after his discharge moved to Wayne County. He went to work for Belden Wire in Richmond, working in several departments, before retiring in 2009 after 46 years. Bill enjoyed working on his home’s landscaping and garden. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Sherry S. (Webb) Williams; a daughter, Kim Harrod; a son, Terry Williams; 2 granddaughters, Lacy Harrod and Alyssa Harrod; 2 great-granddaughters Natalie and Marley; and a brother, Ronnie (Karen) Williams.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Dickie Williams.
At Bill’s request there will be no public services and interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
