Robert William Abrams, 88, of Greens Fork, passed away May 25, 2021, at his home after a long illness. He was born December 1, 1932, in Jackson Co., Kentucky, to Cephus and Bessie Thacker Abrams; he lived in Richmond most of his life.

He worked in several factories and retired from Kemper Cabinets.

He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Robert always put other’s needs above his own; he could fix and design anything; if you had a question or a problem that needed to be solved he always had the answer.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 9 years Betty Abrams; they had nine children between them, Rita Sams of Richmond, Joyce and Doug of Cambridge City, Jeri Abrams of Richmond, Tracey and Ryan of Cambridge City, Debbie Laird of New Paris, Doug and Debra of Whitewater, Cathy and Rocky of Chavies, Kentucky, Michelle and Brian of Ft. City, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers Herbert Abrams, Cleatus Wade Abrams, several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one grandchild, one great-grandchild, one stepson, six sisters, and one brother.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Pastor Curt Nies officiating; burial will be at Greens Fork South Cemetery in Greens Fork. Friends may call from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
