Carl Malcolm “Mike” Abrams, 82, passed away at his home in Franklin Township, Henry County, Indiana early Friday morning May 14, 2021.  A son of the late Carl Melva and Eunice Gail (Baumgartner) Abrams, Mike was born at home in Liberty Township in Henry County, Indiana on December 31, 1938.  A lifelong resident of Henry County, Mike grew up on a farm, helping with the daily chores.  He was a member of the last class to graduate from New Lisbon High School in 1957.  He married the love of his life, the former Jowana Gail Bennett, in Chesterfield, Indiana on February 21, 1959.  Mike was an avid collector of Allis Chalmers tractors.  He drove his tractors in many parades and attended tractor shows in the area.  He liked to keep busy restoring tractors, working on lawn mowers and tinkering on just about anything.  Mike retired from Dana-Perfect Circle in New Castle where he worked in the foundry.  Following his “retirement” he went to work for IMI at the Cambridge City plant delivering concrete.  He also kept his love of farming throughout his life by helping local farmers during their busy seasons.
