Ellen “Juanita” Crouch, 93, of Whitewater, passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at her home.
Juanita was born on March 21, 1928 in Richmond to the late Oscar Eli Pugh and Ruth Helen (Gardener) Grogg. She attended Richmond High School. Juanita married Edgar Leo Crouch in December 1946. Juanita was a homemaker raising five children. She also was a babysitter for many children through the years who lovingly referred to her as Aunt Neeter. Juanita attended Ravina Park Baptist Church. She enjoyed jewelry, shopping, crafts, and helping and caring for others, especially children.
Juanita is survived by two daughters, Debbie Brown (husband Gary) of Gallatin, TN; and Janet Belew (husband Gary) of LaFollette, TN; two sons, Dennis Crouch (wife Dixie) LaFollette, TN; and Steven Crouch of Whitewater; sister, Betty Brown; special friends, Dennis Smith and Everett Powell; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Juanita was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, Edgar Leo Crouch; daughter, Micci Jo Champion; son-in-law, Michael Wayne Champion; and several siblings.
A graveside service to celebrate Juanita’s life will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Goshen Cemetery on State Road 227 N., in Richmond. Pastor Mark Grubbs will officiate.
