Donald Ray Guffey, age 70, of Kokomo, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2021, at his home. He was born September 29, 1950, in Albany, Kentucky. He was the son of Raymond H. Guffey and Betty A. (Conner) Guffey.
Donald was a 1968 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School and went on to enlist in the United States Army. He served for 33 years before retiring. Donald served during the Vietnam War thru the Iraq War. He also retired from Chrysler Corp. after 30 years of service. Donald enjoyed life with his family and spending time with his grandsons.
Donald is survived by his wife, Susan C. (Best) Guffey, of 52 years whom he married on April 12th., 1969; two sons, Douglas A. Guffey and his wife, Jenine of Lawrenceville, GA. Daniel R. Guffey and his wife, Chrissy of Kokomo, IN; grandchildren, Samuel R. Guffey, Isaac R. Guffey and Titus L. Guffey; his mother, Betty Guffey, one sister, Sarah (Tony) Hoard, one brother, Greg (Heather) Guffey. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Donald was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Guffey, and his brother, Gary Guffey.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 6th., 2021 at Macer-Hall-Marcum & Moffitt Funeral Home, 2011 East Broad Street, New Castle with full military honors to follow.
