Brian Vance, age 42, of Lynn, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly Monday, April 26, 2021, at his home after a sudden illness.
Born October 29, 1978, in Richmond, Indiana, to Marvin and Donna Miller Vance, Brian was a life-long resident of this area. He left a manufacturing career to devote his love and attention to being a stay-at-home dad. His family was very important to him, and his boys were his world. Brian loved Harley Davidsons, fast cars, fishing, and he rarely missed a Dallas Cowboys football game. Brian had a big heart and would do anything for anyone.
Survivors include his wife, Amanda Peed Vance; sons, Ian and Levi Vance; parents; sister, Malinda (Otis) Brown of Fountain City, Indiana; brother, James (Kathleen) Vance of Cambridge City, Indiana; nieces, Lacey and Camryn Braughton, Ashlyn Brown, Peyton Vance, and Justice Peed; nephew, Dylan Peed; great-nieces, Zara Dodson and Libby Tinsman; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Cindy Peed; brothers-in-law, Sean (Jacqueline ) Peed, Nathan (Mindy) Peed, and Adam (Destiny) Peed; aunts; uncles; cousins; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his niece, Lindsey Braughton; grandparents, Carl and Daisy “Granny” Vance and Paul and Dorothy Miller; and life-long friend, Tracey Rodandello.
Visitation for Brian Vance will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Chaplain Rick Alvey officiating. Burial will be in Elkhorn Cemetery.
