Vaughn de Leath (Kinnick) Leversedge, 83, Cambridge City, passed away Wednesday morning April 21, 2021, at her home in rural Cambridge City, Indiana. Born December 30, 1937, in Oaklandon, Indiana to the late Gayle C. and Martha Lucille (Faulconer) Kinnick, Vaughn lived in Wayne County, Indiana most of her adult life. She was a 1956 graduate of Broad Ripple High School in Indianapolis and Minnesota Bible College- Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1961. Vaughn was a member of the Jacksonburg Christian Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School Director and Choir Director. Vaughn worked as a milk tester for the Indiana Dairy Herd Improvement Organization through the Purdue University Extension Office. She was also 4-H Leader for the Harrison Farmers, substitute teacher, farm wife and avid cook.
Survivors include her husband of nearly 63 years, Robert F. Leversedge. They were married in Indianapolis on June 6, 1958; daughters, Kimberly R. (Gary) Snowden of New Market, Amy L. (Thomas) Sheppard of Cambridge City, Jill K. Leversedge of Richmond; son, Robert D. (Carrie) Leversedge of Battle Creek, MI; grandchildren, Sarah Griffith, Benjamin Snowden, Andrew Sheppard, Bethany Snowden, Kate Sheppard, Hank Leversedge and Kale Leversedge; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Martha Ann Bendickson of Donahue IA; nieces, nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, David Gayle Kinnick.
Visitation for Vaughn de Leath Leversedge will be from 1 p.m. until the time of funeral services at 3 p.m. on Saturday April 24, 2021, at Jacksonburg Christian Church. Pastor Jamie Fagan will officiate. Burial will follow at Jacksonburg Cemetery.
