Evelyn J Sharvin, 92, of Richmond, IN, passed away on March 18, 2021, after a brief illness. She was born on April 20, 1928, in Kenosha, WI to Angelo and Margaret Giacomin. Evelyn graduated from Kenosha Bradford HS and Kenosha Secretarial College, before marrying Robert Sharvin and moving to Richmond, IN in the early 1960s.
Evelyn was proud of her Italian heritage and passed it along to her children. Blessed with the “gift of gab,” she always had a story to tell and hours to talk. Her career as a mother to three was accented as a secretary to Thompson & Ware CPA’s, Earlham College Dept. of English, Huddleston House, Green Thumb, and Experience Works, plus a few entrepreneurial endeavors.
She was predeceased by her parents, angelic daughter Julie Ann and sisters Irma Piehl and Fortuna Patrizzi.
Evelyn loved to travel. Favorite trips were to the Holy Land, Alaska, and Italy, making new friends everywhere.
She is survived by daughter Jane (Jerry) Sparks of Delaware, OH, grandchildren Stuart Sparks, Crystal Sparks (great-grandson Julian Jagger), Angela Sparks, and Julie Sparks. Also survived by son Jim of Worthington, OH, and grandsons Mike (Amber) Sharvin (great-granddaughter Astrid Evelyn), David (Jamie) Sharvin, and John (Dana) Sharvin. Evelyn enjoyed her role as the family matriarch and was so excited to be a great-grandmother.
