Benjamin J. “Benny” Jackson, age 87, of Richmond, Indiana, died Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at Reid Health.

Born April 7, 1933, in Owenton, Kentucky, to Herman and Nettie Jackson, Benny lived in Wayne County, Indiana, most of his life. He retired from Richmond Fireproof Door Company. Benny was a lifetime member of the Druids Lodge and Fraternal Order of Eagles, where he enjoyed tending bar. He was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan and loved playing cards.

Survivors include his daughter, Debbie Mead of Richmond; grandchildren, Brandy Hull and Lawrence Benjamin Paddock; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Iccy Ann Jackson, who died May 6, 2012; granddaughter, Caroline Paddock; parents; sisters and brothers; and nephew, Norman Conder.

There will be a private graveside service for Benjamin J. “Benny” Jackson. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
