Timothy O. McConaha, age 69, of Centerville, Indiana, died Friday, March 12, 2021, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana, surrounded by his wife and children.
Born November 15, 1951, in Richmond, Indiana, to Thomas Robert and Elinor Louise Wuenker McConaha, Tim was a life-long resident of Wayne County, Indiana. He grew up and still lived on the farm that has been in his family for more than 150 years. Tim graduated from Centerville High School in 1970. He worked at UPS for 29 years, before retiring in 2004. Tim was also a lifetime farmer. He enjoyed playing pickleball, being outdoors, having breakfast with his friends, and slot car racing. Tim loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.
Survivors include his wife of almost 47 years, Wanda Rust McConaha; children, David (Laura) McConaha of Westfield, Indiana, Danny (Erin) McConaha of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Kimberly (Bruno Amorim) McConaha of Richmond; grandchildren, Quinn, Jenna, Zoey, Piper, and Athena, with Gaia arriving soon; sisters-in-law, Sharlene, Marsha, Sue, and Rene; brothers-in-law, Eddie and Mike; nieces; nephews; and many friends, including his “eating out” buddies.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers-in-law; and two aunts.
Visitation for Timothy O. McConaha will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2021, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Please plan to wear your own mask in the funeral home.
