Kevin Scott Roark, 65, of Lynn, IN passed away early Sunday morning, March 7, 2021 at his residence, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born June 22, 1955 in Winchester, IN the son of Fred and JoAnn (Fisher) Roark. He was a 1973 graduate of Randolph Southern High School. He started dating his wife in the eighth grade and they had 40 wonderful years of marriage together.

Kevin sold his business Roark Trucking, Inc. to his son in 2018 after more than 45 years as a truck driver. He wouldn’t idol long, continuing to support his son’s endeavors, he would drive making short trips in the area. Kevin had a special passion for farming and would say it was his hobby outside of trucking. He enjoyed and was known for giving nicknames to those he came in contact.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Tammy; a son, Tyler (Beth) of Lynn, IN; two sisters, Babbett Crites (Steve) of Gulfport, MS and Melanie Brown of Lynn, IN; and two grandchildren, Madeline and Emily. He was preceded in death by his parents; and mother-in-law, Margie Owens.

A service to celebrate Kevin’s life will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Wilson Shook Funeral Home, Thomas Memorial Chapel of Lynn, IN. Cremation will follow. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 5:00 p.m. to service time on Thursday, at the funeral home.
