Terry K. Jarvis, 77, Dublin, passed away Monday evening February 8, 2021 at Golden Rule Nursing Home in Richmond, Indiana. A son of the late Raymond and Mary (Hendricks) Jarvis, Terry was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on September 24, 1943. Terry and his family had lived in Indianapolis before moving to the Western Wayne community when he was a young boy. He was a Wampus Cat and graduate of Lincoln High School. Terry served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged on April 18, 1967 with the rank of Corporal. Terry worked the parts counter at Rodefeld’s Auto Parts in Cambridge City for 35 years and after their closing he worked at the Meijer Store in Richmond for 12 years. Terry was a member of the American Legion and an I.U. “Bobby Knight” fan. In his leisure, Terry enjoyed reading and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include 3 children, Ralph Dean (Valarie)King, Shawn E. (Eric) Jennings and Cory James (Andrea) Jarvis; 6 grandchildren, Brittney (Josh) Longnecker, Casey (Kylie) Jennings, Katey Jennings, Blayde, Ryker and Zoey Jarvis; 3 great grandchildren, Remington and Ryder Longnecker and Lennon Byrd; 3 siblings, Gene and Jack Jarvis and Marilyn Fisher; nieces and nephews.
Terry was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years at the time of her passing on May 11, 2019, the former Pauletta Mae Jordan. They were married in Lake City, Tennessee on February 11, 1970; 3 brothers, David, Bill and Mike Jarvis.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday February 11, 2021 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home. Private funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Danny Berry on Friday February 12th. Burial with military honors will follow at South Lawn Cemetery in Dublin.
