Carlita Jean “Carla” Ketron, age 59, of Richmond, Indiana, died unexpectedly Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at her home.
Born September 5, 1961, in Richmond, Indiana, to General May and Georgia Burke, Carla was a life-long resident of this community. She was full of life, one of a kind, and had a very kind and loving heart. Carla loved music and spending time with her kids and grandkids.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathryn Thompson (Shawn Cooper) of Richmond; sons, Billy Hahn of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Chris Ketron of Toledo, Ohio; grandchildren, Kirstyn, Gabriel, and Kaitlyn, with one on the way; sister, Chawneta Adams of Kentucky; brothers, John, Kevin, and Michael Harris, all of Tennessee; uncles and great-uncle, Denver May, who was like a father to Carla; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends, including special friend, Kenny Young.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Tina Lee Chism; and great-aunt, Lena May, who was like a mother to Carla.
Due to the current COVID-19 situation, we regret to inform you that services for Carlita Jean “Carla” Ketron will be private. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
