Emma L. Houser, age 92, of Milton, Indiana, died Monday, February 1, 2021, at her home surrounded by family.

Born July 16, 1928, in Eaton, Ohio, to Clarence and Margaret Taylor Wysong, Emma lived in Centerville, Indiana, most of her life. She worked at Alcoa, retiring after 20 years. Emma was a member of New Apostolic Church in Centerville.

Survivors include her daughter, Karen Markwell of Milton; son, David E. (Melanie) Houser of North Carolina; grandchildren, Allison, David II, and Kellen Houser, all of North Carolina, Jessica Conner of Richmond, and Jennifer (William) Oliver and Joshua (fiancée, Rebecca Clayton) Markwell, both of Connersville, Indiana; nine great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Carl J. Houser, who died February 22, 2007; parents; sister; and three brothers.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, we regret to inform you that services for Emma L. Houser will be private with Rev. Mark Jauss officiating. Entombment will be in the Earlham Memorial Mausoleum. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
