Charles E. Blevins, age 81, of Hagerstown, Indiana, died Sunday, January 24, 2021, at his son’s home in Economy, Indiana.

Born January 18, 1940, in Jonesborough, Tennessee, to Emory and Judneal Laws Blevins, Charles moved to Wayne County, Indiana, in 1963. He worked for L.M. Kettler and Ralph Whisenhunt before becoming a self-employed plasterer and drywall installer until retirement. Charles was a member of Faith United Baptist Church in Hagerstown, a church he loved dearly. He enjoyed talking about the Bible with anyone and everyone. Charles also enjoyed hunting, being outside taking care of the garden, sitting on the porch, and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his sons, Chuck (Titina) Blevins of Hagerstown and Clayton (Stephanie) Blevins of Economy; grandchildren, Garrett (fiancée, Olivia Houck), Blake, Chase, Madeline, and Ethan; great-grandson, Easton Clay; sisters, Judy Henley, Ada Bearfield, and Lucille Elliott, all of Tennessee; extended family; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Frankie Ratliff Blevins, who died December 29, 2017; daughter, Gwenda Blevins; and parents.

The funeral service will be livestreamed at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, January 28, 2021, on the Doan & Mills website. Burial will be in Abington Cemetery.
