Robert E. Walker, age 81, passed away from cancer in his home on January 8, 2021, after a valiant fight against cancer. He was born May 19, 1939 in New Castle, a son of Roger and Mary Walker. He was a quiet, proud, strong, gentle man. He loved God, his family, and the family farm where he grew up. He was the rock that anchored not only his children and grandchildren, but nieces and nephews. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed for his calmness, sage advice and wisdom.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Judy Claborn Walker; his children, John (Kristi) Walker, Mark (Debbie) Walker, Mary (Mark) Pierce, and Jim (Gail) Walker; a sister, Mary Clapp; grandchildren, Jason Walker, Cody (Misty) Walker, Andrew Walker, Katie Walker Lutes, Britney Walker, Kindsey (Thomas) Elizondo, Karlee Pierce, Kirstyn (Dylan) Hamm, Kassy Pierce and Bobby Pierce; great-grandchildren, Tyler Lutes, Haelyn Walker, Clara Walker, Kylee Lutes, Johnny Walker, Nora Walker, Kingston Walker and Pierce Elizondo. He was blessed by having step-grandchildren, Jessica (John) Stephens, Steve Stegner, Brandon Walker, Brady Robertson; step-great-grandchildren, Cole Stegner, Gage, Landon and Jaxon Stephens, Autumn Stegner, and Kinsey Robertson come into his life. Several beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Roger and Mary Walker; a granddaughter, Kalann Walker, a brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Cassie Walker; a brother-in-law, Butch Claborn; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mike and Sherri Mattix.

Services will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Macer-Hall-Marcum & Moffitt Funeral Home, 2011 East Broad Street, New Castle. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m., until service time at the funeral home. Due to COVID-19 and governors state mandate, face coverings must be worn at all times.
