Nancy Joan Patton, 73, of Bloomington, passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 14, 1947 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana; the daughter of Harris and Dolores (Stoner) Berg.
While Nancy was born in Ft. Wayne, she grew up in Richmond, Indiana; having graduated from Richmond Senior High School in 1965. She went on to attend Ball State University before transferring to Indiana University-Bloomington, where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Education in 1969, and her Master’s Degree in Education in 1977. Following her educational journey, she became a devoted mother in raising her two children. Then, becoming an entrepreneur, she grew her passion for antiques into an antique business.
Nancy found a mid-life joy traveling through North America, Europe, and the sunny tropics. She had a strong devoted Christian faith. She attended churches over the years that included Evangelical Community Church, Southside Christian Church, and Sherwood Oaks Christian Church. Nancy adored her pets, Lily, Tasha, and her great love, Biscuit the Yorki.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Amy Brummit; son, Ryan Chiddister; and granddaughters, Makenna Chiddister and Mya Chiddister.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at White Oak Cemetery, in Bloomington, on December 10, 2020.
