There’s now a FLOOD WATCH ADVISORY for Wayne County in effect until Sunday morning (Feb. 25) because of expected heavy rain for east central Indiana and western Ohio, including Wayne, Fayette and Union counties.
Total rainfall amounts through Sunday morning are expected to be in the 3 to 5 inch range.
Excessive rainfall will cause local rivers, creeks, and streams to rise. Those near streams and rivers should be especially cautious as streams and rivers can rise quickly. People in the watch area, especially those living in areas prone to flooding, should be prepared to take action should flooding develop. Monitor the latest forecasts and be alert for possible flood warnings.
