RICHMOND, Ind. – Violet Fern “Vi” Miller, age 84, of Richmond, Indiana, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, February 3, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family.
Born December 15, 1933, in Scott County, Kentucky, to Chester and Anna Emmaline Power Harper, Vi had lived in this community since 1966. She graduated from Rushville High School in 1952. Vi worked at Belden for 33years and was a member of the 25 Year Club. She was a member of Hodgin Road Christian Church. Vi enjoyed cooking, bowling, and spending time with her family, grandchildren, and friends.
Survivors include her daughters, Teresea Lee Bodiker and Tonya Lynn Revalee, both of Richmond, Mary Lou Smolik of Cambridge City, Indiana, and Kimberly Dawn Miller of Noblesville, Indiana; son, Louis Edwin “Eddie” (Jenncy) Miller of Elwood, Indiana; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis E. “Lou” Miller, who died on December 1, 2014; parents; sisters, Mary Elizabeth Moore, Dortha Bell Benham, Bertha Mae Copley, Martha Lou Stephen, Betty Jean Lloyd, and Helen Ruth Moore Narmore; and brother, Clarence Harper.
Visitation for Violet Fern “Vi” Miller will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2018, at Mills Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, Centerville. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Mills Funeral Home with Rev. Derek Trenum officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
