Fannie Beall, 91, of Shelbyville died Friday afternoon September, 4, 2020 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born Nov 8, 1928 in Albany, KY to Casher and Mabel (Frogge) Smith. She moved to Henry County as a child where she lived her entire life until August of 2019 when she moved to Shelbyville to be closer to family.

Fannie graduated from Mt. Summit High School in 1947 and on June 21, 1947 she married Norman Beall. Fannie work for Citizens State Bank for 40 years. She retired in 1987 and went directly to her new home “the golf course.” She enjoyed many years playing golf and made many new friends including her forever best buddy and golf partner, Susie Huffman. Fannie also loved playing cards and was an avid accomplished bowler. In the 1960’s Fannie was a member of a Bridge Club and later in life she played countless hours of Gin with her special companion Dr. John Fisher. Also in the 1960’s Fannie was well known at the local bowling alleys. She was a member of the Indiana Women’s State Bowling Association for many years. She bowled on several leagues a week often advancing in state tournaments and traveling out of state and throughout Indiana.

It is an understatement to say Fannie was an avid IU basketball fan. Anyone who knew Fannie knew NOT to call her during an IU basketball game and if IU lost you might not want to call for a couple of days. The only thing she had more compassion for than IU basketball was family. FAMILY was her life.

She is survived by her son, Richard (Sharon) Beall; her daughter, Rhonda Adams (and Les Leary); her two grandson, Andrew and Rory Beall, of Fishers.

Andrew and his wife Elissa (Eberle) blessed GiGi with 5 great-grandchildren, Kendall, Hadley, Emma, Casher and Brynley. Rory and his wife, Amanda (Storck) brought her additional joy and happiness with the birth of Griffin and Camden. NOTHING brought her more joy than spending time with her family.

She is also survived by three sisters, Irene Rehbein of Phoenix, AZ, Mary (Norman) Shaw of Lynchburg, VA and Ruth Burd of New Castle; many nieces and nephews; her extended family Tom Adams, Brian (Shelley) Adams, Melanie Adams and step great – grandsons, Cole and Ryan Adams; also the children and grandchildren of John Fisher, Sarah, Brian and James; and a host of the most wonderful friends to numerous to mention.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Norman Beall, sisters, Florence Swann, Florene McCormick, Shirley Owen; brothers, Charlie and Bob Smith and her special friend, John Fisher.
