David Denton, Mooreland, passed away Monday, August 10th, after a brief illness. Dave was born in New Castle on July 31st, 1955 and attended New Castle Chrysler High School before starting a career at Goodwin Brothers Auto, where he worked as a body man and assistant manager of the body shop for forty years. Dave was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time at home restoring cars in his beloved garage.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Rilla Denton, and is survived by his wife of 45 years, Pam (Woolsey) Denton of Mooreland; two sons, Jason (wife, Dee) Denton of Mooreland, and Sam (wife, Heather) Denton of Chicago. He had five grandchildren, Madalyn, Collin, Margaret, Max and Mae; two sisters, Carol (husband, Maurie) Goodwin of Greensburg and Debbie (husband, Charlie) of White House, Tennessee, and one brother, Jerry (wife, Barbara) Eans of Winter Springs, FL, and several nieces and nephews. He leaves behind his good buddy Larry, his golden retriever, and a couple of great friends, Steve Shostle and Mike Carter. Dave died peacefully at home surrounded by his family.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 14, 2020 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service with Ben French officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the George S. and Rilla M.
