CENTERVILLE, Ind. – Garrett D. Roberts II, age 50, of Centerville, died unexpectedly of a massive heart attack Thursday, October 12, 2017, at his home.
Born June 21, 1967, in Richmond, to Garrett D. and Janice L. Roberts, Garrett was a life-long resident of this community.
Garrett was a graduate of Centerville High School, Class of 1986. He also attended classes at Ivy Tech.
He formerly worked at Crown Hill Cemetery and the Holiday Inn. Garrett was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 580 and Fraternal Order of Eagles and was a former member of the Richmond Moose Lodge #167. Garrett liked trains. He was proud of his accomplishments and enjoyed his independence.
Survivors include his parents; uncle, Raymond (Delores) Chappell of Michigan City, IN; cousins; and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Roy and Pauline Roberts and maternal grandparents, Lester and Mary Chappell.
A memorial service for Garrett D. Roberts II was held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 16, 2017, at Mills Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, Centerville with Deacon Frank Roberts officiating. Burial was in Crown Hill Cemetery.
