Herbert “Tom” Burch, 73, of Connersville passed away May 15, 2020 at Arbor Trace, Richmond, where he had been a resident for several months.

One of four children, Tom was born to Thomas and Jeanette (Greene) Burch in Franklin County. He was a 1965 graduate of Brookville High School. He was married to Cynthia Elaine Slayback in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Mrs. Burch survives.

Tom was employed as a balancer for Roots Blower from 1966 until retiring in 2005.

In his leisure, Tom enjoyed hunting big game such as elk, caribou, Red Stag deer, and antelope in Canada, Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, and New Mexico. He also enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Elaine (Slayback) Burch; two sons, Kevin Burch of Connersville and Jason (Nikki) Burch of Richmond; three grandchildren, Kayla, Kelsey, and Abigail Burch; four great-granddaughters, Anna, Gabby, Bella, and Nevaeh; two sisters, Rosemary Gulley of Everton, and Julia Crawley of Bloomington, Indiana. He is also blessed with several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Ronald Burch, and two sons, Lance Burch and Richard Burch, and an infant great grandson, Hunter Conn.

Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. A private family funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Rob Judd officiating.
