Douglas Arthur Miller, 77, Beech Grove, passed away on Dec 16, 2019. Born February 7, 1942 in Gettsyburg, Ohio to the late Henry and Ruby Miller, he graduated from Lincoln High School in Cambridge City, Indiana in 1960. Doug served in the U.S. Army, and retired from Lucent Technologies after 35 years in telecommunications. In retirement he enjoyed working at Beech Grove Firearms, where he became a permanent fixture. He was a proud lifetime N.R.A member.
Doug was a dedicated father and grandfather whose steadfast support of his family was epitomized by his constant and unwavering presence at all after-school events, big or small. He celebrated their accomplishments and was generous in his support of their dreams and plans for the future.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Pam Crodian-Miller; children, Scott Miller, Ann Miller, D.J. McCallister (Erin); grandchildren, Sammi Miller, Magnus McCallister, Roggen McCallister. He was preceded in death by sister, Judy Morris.
Memorial visitation will be Friday, December 20 from 5:30-7:30 PM, with the memorial service at 7:30 PM at G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Ave, Indianapolis.
