CAMBRIDGE CITY – Raymond “Doug” Hook, 69, passed away Friday morning July 28, 2017 at Ambassador Health Care in Centerville, Indiana.
A son of the late Henry and Mildred L. (Renchen) Hook, Doug was born in Maysville, Kentucky on February 1, 1948.
He attended Orangeburg High School in Orangeburg, Kentucky. Doug has lived most of his life in the Cambridge City/ Western Wayne community. He retired from M.E.G. in Cambridge City after eighteen years of service as a brake press operator. In his leisure, Doug enjoyed spending time on the river, boating and fishing and taking country drives.
Survivors include 4 children, Michael Hook of Indianapolis, Johnny, Steven and Brandi Hook all of Cambridge City; 2 grandsons, Bradean and Darien Bishop; 3 siblings, Dennis Hook of Cambridge City, Darlene Marshall of Sacramento, CA and Betty Jones of Milton; nieces and nephews. Doug was preceded in death by his son, Christopher B. Hook on January 3, 2007; 2 brothers, Michael D. and Marion “Randy” Hook.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday August 1, 2017 at the West Side Cemetery in Milton. Pastor Jim Noggle of the First Missionary Baptist Church, Dublin will officiate.
