Tyler Wade Blevins, 23, a resident of New Castle and formerly of Hagerstown passed away unexpectedly Saturday, November 4, 2017 at his residence. He was born July 23, 1994 in Henry County.
Tyler attended New Castle and Hagerstown schools and graduated with honors from the Excel Center in Richmond in 2016. He was employed at Sky High Grain Bin. An avid fisherman, Tyler loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a friend to everyone he met and he had a big heart for helping others.
Survivors include his parents: Melissa Murphy of New Castle and Mike Murphy of Hagerstown; a brother: Dylan Blevins of Hagerstown; three sisters: Alexis, Madison and Emma Murphy, all of Hagerstown; grandparents: Phyllis and Stephen Murphy of Economy; great-grandfather: John Bach, jr. of New Castle; several aunts, uncles and cousins as well as many life-long friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Stanley and Debi Wiley; an uncle: Jon Wiley; maternal great-grandmother: “Oma” Patsy Bach; paternal grandmother: Mary Wiley and numerous other family members.
Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Bob Case officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be given to the Tyler Wade Blevins Memorial Fund, in care of the funeral home, to help cover funeral costs.
