Three movie stars will make what fans might call “dynamite” Richmond appearances next week.

Actors Jon Heder, Jon Gries and Efren Ramirez, who starred in the 2004 hit comedy “Napoleon Dynamite,” are among the owners of Richmond’s new collegiate baseball team, the Flying Mummies.

Tickets are now on sale for their interactive conversation, “Napoleon Dynamite Live!,” on Wednesday, June 10. That event will be in Richmond Art Museum, 350 Hub Etchison Parkway, Richmond.

Two appearances are planned at 5 and 8 p.m., including a screening of the film. Tickets range from $35 to $55 plus fees. A total of 75 tickets can be upgraded with a 4 p.m. meet-and-greet for $100. Half of the evening’s proceeds benefit the museum.

“Napoleon Dynamite” debuted at Sundance Film Festival, showcasing a nerdy teen helping a new friend campaign for class president while dealing with an unusual family.

Tickets can be purchased on the Richmond Flying Mummies website under single-game tickets at northwoodsleague.com/richmond-flying-mummies.

Beyond the museum appearance, the actors will attend the Mummies’ 6:35 p.m. game Thursday, June 11, at McBride Stadium,  201 NW 13th St., Richmond, against the Rockford Rivets.

The first 500 fans receive a “Vote for Wilbur” shirt, a nod to the film’s “Vote for Pedro” shirts. Game tickets are $10 to $35 plus fees and tax.

The Flying Mummies are an expansion team in the Northwoods League. As of press time, the Mummies had a 4-3 record. A fireworks show follows the June 12 game. Additional home games this month are June 15-19 and 26-29.
