The Richmond football team hosted the Anderson Indians on Friday, Oct. 10, in a North Central Conference game. Richmond defeated Anderson 38-21 to pick up its second consecutive win and its third win of the season. It is the first time since the 2019 season that the Red Devils` football program has won back-to-back games, and their three wins are the most since the 2019 team went 4-6.

Richmond never trailed in the game, scoring in every quarter. 

The balanced Richmond offense had 246 yards passing and 131 yards rushing. 

Thomas Stargell completed 10 of 17 pass attempts for 218 yards and two touchdowns. Jai Allen completed his only pass attempt for 28 yards and a touchdown. Allen also led the Red Devils in rushing, gaining 99 yards on 13 carries and a touchdown. Tyziyah Stubbs and Mason Long also scored rushing touchdowns. Ja’riyah Delucio was the leading receiver, catching six passes for 175 yards and a touchdown. 

Maurice Hibbler and Mason Lamb each had 11 tackles for Richmond and Khaleel Leonard had a sack. 

The Red Devils will close out regular-season play on Friday, Oct. 17, when they travel to Kokomo to face the Wildkats.
