The Hagerstown baseball team traveled to Tri High on Tuesday, April 22, for a Tri-Eastern Conference game with the Titans. The 2A ninth-ranked Tigers methodically overpowered the Titans 19-1 in a game halted after five innings because of the 10-run mercy rule.
The Tigers used a different pitcher in each inning. Kaden Hall, Jaykob Troutwine, Aiden Grover, Graham Vinson and Anthony Kelley combined to strike out 13 batters and only allow a single base hit.
The Tigers were just as efficient at the plate. Eleven players batted for Hagerstown, and 10 had at least one base hit. Troutwine led with three hits. Aiden Grover, Will King and Kaagen Kendall each doubled. Will Combs stroked a two-run homer.
