The goal of every high school basketball team is to be playing their best entering postseason play. The Centerville Bulldogs appear to be on target. The ‘Dawgs traveled to Tri High on Friday, Feb. 21 for a Tri-Eastern Conference game with the Henry County champion Titans.

What was expected to be a tossup game was a complete blowout. Centerville took a 20-9 lead at the end of the first quarter, expanded it to 28-15 at halftime, and then exploded for 30 third-quarter points to trigger a running clock. The win was the ninth straight for Centerville.

The Centerville defense never allowed the Titans to score more than nine points in any quarter, and the balanced Centerville offense placed three players in double figures and had two players with 8 points each.

Shea Hollendonner led all game scorers with 17 points, Landyn Keiser scored 13 points and Jace Hollendonner scored 10 points. Bryan Kinder led the Titans with 7 points.
