The Northeastern Lady Knight basketball team remained unbeaten on the season, handing the 4A Lady Spartans their first home loss of the season on Tuesday, Nov. 26, in the Spartan Bowl. 

The 2A ninth-ranked Knights jumped out to an early lead and never trailed. 

The Knights were led in scoring by Ava Mikesell with a game high of 16 points. Ady Kircher scored 13 points, and Cami Angi and Ariel Shuler each scored 10 points. Kendyl Bottomley and Addy Jones each scored 10 points for Connersville.

Lady Knight head coach Cody Dudley talked about his team’s play. “The Spartan Bowl is not an easy place to play,” Dudley said. “It was nice to find out that this group could handle adversity, I loved the grit they displayed and their ability to close out the game.”

The Northeastern JV also won 43-33. Amiyah Davis led the Knight scoring with 15 points. Kylie McHenry led the Spartans with 10 points.
