The Centerville Lady Bulldogs and the Hagerstown Tiger boys won their respective races at the Tri-Eastern Conference meet hosted by Centerville on Saturday, Oct. 12. Jillian Chew, from Tri High, captured the girls race in a time of 20:50.60 slipping past second-place finisher Anna Nevels by less than a second, but the Lady Bulldogs captured eighth, ninth, 10th and 18th to capture the title.

Team standings: Centerville 37, Northeastern 48, Hagerstown 58, Winchester Community 81.

Centerville placements: Nevels second, Evie Morgan eighth, Lily Black ninth, Paige Dixon 10th, Addie Talbott 18th, Bowi Frame 20th, Victoria Beatty 25th. 

Northeastern placements: Heather Crull fifth, Madelyn Green sixth, Bella Stoops 13th, Amiyah Davis 17th, Brooklyn Lee 19th, Olivia Crull 22nd. 

Hagerstown placements: Avery Blunk seventh, Abigail Smith 11th, Claire Bowen 15th, Zaylee Payne 16th, Cameron Robertson 23rd, Abbie Gilbert 26, Brenna Walker 30, Zoe Meek 31st.

Tanner Paddock from Union County won the boys race in a time of 17:04.49, but it was Hagerstown who won the team title. The Tigers finished 4th, 10th, 11th, 14th and 17th. Bryce Tinkle, who has been the No. 1 runner all year for the Tigers, returned from an injury to finish 17th and help lift his team to the win. 

Team standings: Hagerstown 56, Northeastern 65, Centerville 72, Tri High 77, Union County 120, Winchester 125. 

Hagerstown placements: Hayden Pruitt fourth, Kendrick Herr 10th, Max Cabrera 11th, Brock Creech 14th, Bryce Tinkle 17th, Kory Nash 19th, Braydon Sanders 21st, Hazard Houghton 29th, Ben Smith 30th, Robert Sullivan 32nd, Jack Rector 33rd, Orion Houghton 34th, Zach Logston 37th, Samuel Dusek 40th, Rizel Payne 44th, Joe Dusek 49th, Mason Rhoades 50th.

Northeastern placements: Lucas Chamness second, Dalton Justice eighth, Zachary Kiracofe ninth, Kayden Hill 20th, Nicolas Markward 26th, Brandt Benjamin 27th, Lucas Cameron 31st, Zachary Wright 45th, Luke Wiley 47th. 

Centerville placements: Clay Johnson sixth, Jonah Cornett 13th, Grayson Hawkins 15th, Tate Chasteen 16th, Jayden Cornett 22nd, Conner Scheer 35th, Mason Flynn 36th, Joshua Ellison 54th. 

Competing as individuals for Cambridge City Lincoln: Lucas Cottrell eighth, Jamey Ramsey 56th.
