Phyllis Jean Maze, 96, of Connersville passed away Wednesday evening, December 25, 2019, at Heritage House of Connersville where she had been a resident since July 2017.
The younger of two children of Frank R. and Ruth Cain Davis, Phyllis was born in Connersville on May 11, 1923.
On July 31, 1954, Phyllis married J. Franklin Maze in the home of Albert Clark. Mr. Maze passed away on January 29, 2009.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. Along with her family, she was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Phyllis enjoyed volunteering at the hospital, watching television, and taking care of her family.
Survivors include a daughter, Judith Ann Mitchell of Connersville; a son, Douglas Franklin (Debbie) Maze of Murray, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Tonya Whipple of Connersville, Steven (Sue) Mitchell of Connersville, Robin Smith of Hudson, North Carolina, Nicholas Maze of Columbia, Tennessee, and Casey (Tony) Sledd of Murray, Kentucky; twelve great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; a niece and several cousins.
Besides her husband of 54 years, Frank Maze, Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Franklin Earl Davis; and a grandson, Brandon Mitchell.
Family and friends may call from 2:00 until the time of service at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 29, 2019, at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Pastor Chris Lovett will officiate. Burial will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday December 30, 2019, in Dale Cemetery.
