Two Henry County addresses will gain access to high-speed broadband through help from a state grant.

Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs recently announced 146 homes and six business addresses benefiting from $657,886 awarded in Indiana Connectivity Program’s ninth round.

The state awarded $9,600 to the Henry County project, with a total investment of $15,100.

The program helps Hoosier residents and business owners, often in rural areas, obtain access to reliable broadband by assisting internet providers with the expense of extending its services to underserved locations.

The program accepts addresses on a rolling basis. Residents and business owners lacking internet connectivity can communicate their interest by entering their address and information into the Next Level Connections portal at in.gov/ocra/broadband
