The Women’s Fund of Wayne County Foundation is gathering donations of works by any local or regional artist for its 20th annual luncheon and silent auction.
This year’s event, “Illuminating Paths: 20 Years and Beyond,” begins at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 13, in Richmond’s Forest Hills Country Club, 2169 S. 23rd St.
Since the event’s founding, art sales have funded more than $380,000 in grants for projects giving opportunities to women and girls.
Artists are asked to indicate their willingness to make a donation by Friday, March 15, by calling 765-967-0885 or 765-969-2361.
Finished artwork is to be delivered to Forest Hills between 9 a.m.-6 p.m. April 11 or 8 a.m.-1:30 p.m. April 12 unless other arrangements are made.
Artists will be invited to an April 12 reception planned in their honor.
The top prize in the judged show is $500. Second place and People’s Choice earns $250, and three honorable mentions are $50 each. Works do not need to represent this year’s theme.
