Dorothy E. Moles, 89, of New Castle passed away Sunday, December 1, 2019, at Henry Community Health.
She was born March 20, 1930, in Richmond, Indiana, a daughter of the late Raymond and Margaret (Templeton) Maines.
Dorothy was 1948 graduate of Kennard High School. She worked in dietary department at the Henry County Hospital for 42 years. She and her late husband, Bob enjoyed square dancing together and Arthur Murray ballroom dancing. She was secretary and treasurer of the Corn Field Cloggers for many years. She and Bob had a booth at the Western Whole Flea Market in Brown County for many years. Dorothy was a former member of the CB Hornets CB Club, enjoyed playing and teaching the accordion and camping. She faithfully attended Foursquare Gospel Church.
Survivors include her children, Michael Moles, John (Vicki) Moles, both of New Castle and Becky Bales of Richmond; 6 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren, 12 great great grandchildren and close friend, Don Owens.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” H. Moles; son, Bobby Harold Jr. , son-in-law, Kirby Bales; and close friends, Deloris Ooten and Ruby Owens.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Jim Becker officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery.
