Two wrestlers representing Northeastern High School and one representing Centerville High School were crowned regional champions on Saturday at the Richmond wrestling regional.
Heather Crull, from Northeastern, remained unbeaten on the season, running her record to 48-0 after winning the 106-pound weight class.
Michael Henderson, also from Northeastern, improved his season record to 28-2, winning the 285-pound weight class. Oshea Phillips from Centerville improved his season record to 45-3, winning the 144-pound weight class.
Also advancing to the semi-state were Conner Frazier from Centerville, who finished third at 126, Kale Creech from Centerville who finished third at 138, Gavin McFarland from Richmond who finished third at 144, Zach Golliher from Hagerstown who finished fourth at 150, Caleb Cohee from Northeastern who finished fourth at 190, Zane Schneider from Northeastern who finished second at 215 and Nathan Westover from Centerville, who finished fourth at 285.
East Central won the team title in the 21-team event with 161 points. Northeastern finished sixth with 68 points, Centerville was eighth with 52 points, Richmond was 14th with 10 points and Hagerstown was 16th with 6 points.
