William F. Kidder Jr, locally known as Bill or “Doc”, passed away December 18, 2023. He grew up in Economy, graduated from Hagerstown High School in 1965, served in the Navy and; then returned to Wayne County.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of twenty-two years, Nancy (Oler). His first wife, Linda (Ellis), passed away in 1999. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews plus great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Bill enjoyed playing Bingo with his sister Bev George and socializing with very dear friends Jan Cloud and Doug Gabbard. He loved to mow the grass, play cards and watch old movies. He greeted everyone with a smile, a compliment and an ornery twinkle in his eyes.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Bill Kidder (who would have turned 77 on January 23) on Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024 at Hartley Hills Country Club. Please join Nancy, starting at 6:30 PM, for desserts and snacks.
