Centerville and Northeastern cheerleaders have advanced to a state championship.
Squads competed Saturday, Oct. 21, at North Central High School in the Indiana Cheer Championship varsity preliminaries. It’s a program of Indiana Association of School Principals.
During the previous weekend’s competition at Clinton Central, the Bulldogs competed in UCA Game Day and Traditional-Varsity C and placed second in both. Centerville qualified for state prelims in ICC’s HS Timeout — Small division. The Bulldogs placed second of 27 teams, their best-ever finish in its four years of qualifying.
Northeastern qualified to compete in the Varsity D division.
On Oct. 21, Centerville advanced with its timeout division routine and Northeastern qualified with its traditional routine. They will compete at the Nov. 4 state championship in New Castle.
