Heddy Louise Dixon, 77, of Connersville passed away Thursday evening, August 31, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.
One of three daughters of Johnny and Winnie Stacy Walker, Heddy was born in Fayette County, Indiana on February 7, 1946 and graduated from Columbus North High School with the class of 1964.
On May 18, 1970, Heddy married Lonnie Dixon in Connersville. Mr. Dixon survives.
Heddy was employed in the Deli at Marsh Supermarket for many years until her retirement.
She attended First Baptist Church and in her leisure time enjoyed going out to eat, vacationing in Myrtle Beach, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Besides her husband of 52 years, Lonnie Dixon, survivors include two daughters, Stacy (Chris) Russell of Noblesville, Indiana and Lori Shaw of Seymor, Indiana; three grandchildren, Garret, Collin, and Tori; two sisters, Margot (Merle) Anderson and Jo Anne Long, all of Florida; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Heddy was preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law, Bill Shaw; and a brother-in-law, Jerry Long.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Lick Creek Cemetery. Pastor Stan Howard will officiate. Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
