CENTERVILLE, Ind. – Alan “Fritz” W. Kempton, age 88, of Centerville, Indiana, died Friday, June 9, 2023, at Reid Health, surrounded by family.
Born May 26, 1935, in Centerville, Indiana, to Russell M. and Pauline Turner Kempton, Fritz was a life-long resident of this community. Fritz was an Army veteran, stationed in Germany, which was his mother’s home country. He graduated from Centerville High School and worked as a machinist. Fritz was a member of the Eastern Indiana Gem and Geologist Society. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping. He will be sadly missed.
Survivors include his daughters, Paula (Rick) Allen and Pamela (Steve) Riggle, all of Richmond, Indiana; granddaughter, Erin Parker, of Denver, Colorado; brother, David (Melody) Kempton of Indianapolis, Indiana; numerous nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
