Betty L. Clapp, 74, of New Castle passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born August 11, 1948 in New Castle to the late Willie Lewis and Eula Ann (Sloan) Wallen.
Betty was a graduate of Mt. Summit High School and worked for over 32 years at Ball Brothers in Muncie. She was a hard worker, loved arts and crafts, gardening, cooking and being a housewife. She had a great sense of humor and loved spending time with her family more than anything else.
She is survived by her husband, Larry D. Clapp Sr.; children, Daryl (Dawn) Shannon, Tammy (Terry) Lybarger, Larry (Stephanie) Clapp Jr., Jerry (Kellie) Clapp; son in law, Jason Brattain; grandchildren, Blake, Cory, Cassidy, Shelby, Jessie Ann; 7 great grandchildren; siblings, Willie Wallen, Keith (Mechelle) Wallen, Larry (Cheryl) Wallen and Linda Wallen (Mike Hildebrandt); and several nieces and nephews.
