Matthew Wright Felix, age 37, of New Castle, passed away with his wife and chosen brother by his side on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at Franciscan Health. He was born December 19, 1985, in New Castle, Indiana to the late Trimble W. & Teresa (Miller) Felix.
Matthew was a 2004 graduate of New Castle High School. As a child he met a girl walking down the street and little did he know that one day she would become the love of his life. He and that girl Sommer married on October 6, 2015, after dating for over 2 years.
Matthew was a man that lived life to its fullest. He was an amazing husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He enjoyed cooking and it was said that he was amazing in the kitchen and on the grill. He enjoyed fishing, bon fires, camping, riding his Harley, playing video games, the traditions of the Vikings, and his annual guys trip to Norris Lake. He had an amazing sense of humor and could make anyone laugh. He was a diehard Kansas City Chiefs fan since he was a child. He was employed at Blue Buffalo in Richmond, Indiana since 2018 and loved to joke about his title of Lubrication Specialist. More than anything his time with his family & friends was what he enjoyed most.
Matthew is survived by his wife Sommer: daughters; Harlow Felix, Savannah Price-Goebel, and Arya Felix: 3 brothers-in-law; Todd Howlett, William Paull, and Timothy Ginn as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, chosen brother, Byron Stidham, and many friends also survive.
Matthew was preceded in death by his parents listed above and sisters Randi Felix Howlett and Laffanene Paull.
Visitation for Matthew will be Tuesday May 16, 2023, at Rose City Funeral Home 2011 Broad ST from 4:00 ~ 7:00 PM. Funeral
Services will be Wednesday May 17, 2023, at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
