Gary William McGuire, 67, of Connersville, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 30, 2023 at his home.
He was born January 3, 1956 in Connersville, one of five children of William and Margaret Austin McGuire and was a 1974 graduate of Connersville High School.
For many years, he was employed at Detroit Steele in Morristown, Indiana. Later, he was employed at INTAT Precision in Rushville until his retirement.
On July 21, 1984, he was married in Central Christian Church to Angela Ray Towler, who survives.
In his leisure, Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing, attending auctions, and “tinkering” in the garage. He was a jokester and enjoyed playing pranks on his family. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was always sure to attend his grandchildren’s school and sporting events.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Angela McGuire; three children, Daryl Lee (Audra) McGuire of Connersville, Jessica (Jessie Logue) McGuire of Liberty, and Michael (Desirae) McGuire of Connersville; four grandchildren, Madalyn Logue, Owen Logue, Hayden McGuire, and Elliot “Letti” McGuire; a brother, Roy (Janie) McGuire of Connersville; two sisters, Catherine Toler of Connersville and Peggy Bogan of Lebanon, Indiana; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Carl McGuire.
Friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 p.m. with Greg Lunsford officiating.
