Andrew “A.J.” Wise, age 20, of Losantville, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 15, 2002, in New Castle, Indiana to James Elbert Wise Jr. and Tabatha (Wren) Wise.
AJ enjoyed going to the different zoo’s to see the animals, playing video games and watching YouTube and Star Wars. He enjoyed being outside as much as he could, especially swimming, fishing and participating in the Miracle League of New Castle. Victory Lane events and gatherings were something he loved to do and he felt so wanted by each and every member of the community. The MDFF.org (Muscular Dystrophy Family Foundation) played an amazing role in AJ’s life. More than anything he enjoyed his time with his precious family, especially his nieces & nephews, whom he loved dearly.
AJ is survived by his parents listed above: two sisters; Elena Sue (Patrick) Walter & Alisha Kay Burwick: 8 nieces & nephews; Kinsley, Keegan, Kyan, Kam, Gavin, Lydia, Ben & Lucas: Maternal grandfather Paul Wren as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family also survive.
AJ is proceeded in death by his maternal grandmother Mary Wren: paternal grandparents; James Wise Sr & Linda Lacy and cousin Harlee Pollitt.
Visitation for AJ will take place on Thursday March 9, 2023, from 4:00 ~ 6:00 PM at Rose City Funeral Home 2011 Broad St in New Castle. Funeral services will take place on Thursday at 6:00 PM with Brett Fischer from Victory Lane officiating, at the funeral home.
