Robin Ann Perdue, 63, of New Castle, passed away on the evening of Friday, January 20, 2023 surrounded by her loving family following a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on August 18, 1959 in Rushville, Indiana, a daughter of Charles Elijah and Midge (Ziglar) Walker.

Robin was a 1977 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School and for many years worked as a medical assistant at Henry County Hospital. She was a member of the Moose and Eagles Lodges, the American Legion, and VFW. Robin enjoyed playing trivia and loved to read. The pride of her life was being a mamaw to her six grandchildren. Robin also enjoyed traveling to warm climates with her husband and best friend, Wayne Perdue. Robin was an upbeat and positive person who brought fun everywhere she went. She would say “Don’t be sad because even during difficult times there is always something to be happy about.”

Those left to cherish Robin’s memory include her loving husband and companion of 19 years, Wayne Perdue; a daughter, Amy Renae (Chad) Morgan Wilson of Arcanum, OH; a son, Billy Morgan Jr, of New Castle; a step-son, Zachary Ryne (Angie) Perdue of Anderson; six grandchildren, Chad Logan (Lauryn) Wilson, Luke David Wilson, Rylee Ann Wilson, Tenley Marie Lowe-Morgan, Raegan Ann Perdue, and Tucker Virgil Perdue; a great-granddaughter, MaryLou Reneé Wilson; her mother, Midge Walker of Allegan, MI; siblings, Melanie (Tom) Tavernier, Charles (Cindy) Walker, and Andrew (Lisa) Walker, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Robin was preceded in death by her father, Charles Walker; a brother, Jeremy Walker, and a sister, Melissa Walker.

A service to celebrate Robin’s life will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Sproles Family Funeral Home.

Friends may call from 5 – 8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
