Ricky Lawson, age 62, a resident of New Castle, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022, at The Waters of New Castle. He was born February 24, 1960, in New Castle, Indiana a son of the late Clyde & Josie (Terry) Lawson.
Ricky was a 1980 graduate of Walter P. Chrysler Memorial High School. He married the love of his life Deborah Lawson on September 17, 1994 and enjoyed 28 years of marriage. Ricky enjoyed playing country music, fishing, and singing. He played the Bass Guitar but could play about anything else. He was known as a gentle soul and could make friends with anyone and that is exactly what he did. The title he cherished most was being husband, father, and brother. More than anything he loved being with his precious family.
Ricky is survived by his wife; Deborah (Ford): daughter Tabatha Cotner; siblings; Judy Lawson, Lucy Lawson & Stephen (Laura) Lawson and several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents listed above and several brothers and sisters.
A Funeral Service will take place on Friday December 2, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Rose City Funeral Home, 2011 Broad St New Castle, In. with Pastor Tim Denney officiating. Visitation will be 12:00 PM until time of service. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery in New Castle.
